You might have seen my video a couple days ago that HR 38 was resubmitted in the House - the national concealed carry reciprocity bill. The link is above, and you might have also been lucky enough to watch my livestream interview with the one and only Eric Pratt, the executive director of Gun Owners of America. In which he said that HR 38, in its previous version in 2017, was instrumental at killing any further gun control that came down the pike federally. And he also said that this bill will be the silver bullet for stopping most of the gun control bill attempts that we're seeing right now. So, HR 38 was resubmitted in the House, and that was by Representative Richard Hudson. He's out of North Carolina, and in another stroke of good news, the sister version of that was submitted in the Senate. It is S 69, entitled "A Bill to Allow Reciprocity for the Carrying of Certain Concealed Firearms." It was submitted by Senator John Cornyn out of Texas. You might recall that in the last session of 17 and 18, there were similar bills in both chambers of Congress. HR 38 passed and moved on to the Senate where they attached the fix-next thing and it kind of sat there and died. Both have been resubmitted and the hope is that they will move forward. However, like Eric Pratt said, these are instrumental to killing what's coming down the pike. He's calling it the silver bullet. So, watch that video.
